369 Method PDF: A Free Printable Template and Tracker

You wanted a file. Here it is — free, printable, no email gate.

The short answer

What's on the sheet

The tracker is a single printable layout built around the practice itself, not a long ebook.

  • An intention line at the top — write the sentence once and keep it for the cycle.
  • Three labelled round sections: morning (3), afternoon (6), night (9).
  • Tick boxes or lines for each repetition, plus a date field.
  • A 33-day structure so you can see the cycle as a whole.

If you prefer 45 days, print extra sheets and keep counting. Cycle length is a convention — see /guides/369-method-33-days.

How to use it

  1. Download 369-method-tracker.pdf and print one sheet per day — or print a stack for the whole cycle so you remove a later decision.
  2. Write your intention once at the top in present tense. Keep that wording for the whole cycle.
  3. Fill the morning three when you wake, before the phone if you can.
  4. Fill the afternoon six at a fixed anchor — lunch, commute, school run.
  5. Fill the night nine last thing, slower than the other two rounds.

Not sure what to write on it?

The sheet only works if the sentence holds up for 33 days. For wording rules, see /guides/369-method-what-to-write. For fifty-plus worked lines by goal, see /guides/369-method-examples — including career lines that deepen on /guides/369-method-for-a-job.

How many sheets do you need?

Most people run a 33-day or 45-day cycle; 21 also circulates. None of those lengths has an authoritative source — they are conventions. Pick a finish line before you start so the practice has an end. One sheet per day is the intended use; printing the whole stack at once removes the "did I print today" failure mode. See /guides/369-method-33-days.

Paper versus phone versus app

Paper is frictionless to start and easy to leave at home when the afternoon round arrives. A notes app is always with you and easy to zone out in. A guided app keeps the count and the three reminders. None of those options is morally better — they fail in different places. See /guides/speak-write-or-type-369-method and the honest comparison at /guides/369-method-app.

About the other 369 PDFs you'll find

Many circulating "369 PDFs" are ebooks or paid journal excerpts rather than blank trackers. This page is only about a free printable grid. For an honest look at journals and books sold under the 369 name, see /guides/369-method-journals-and-books.

Common questions

Is there a free 369 method PDF?
Yes. This site offers a free printable tracker at 369-method-tracker.pdf — no email required. It has space for your intention and the three daily rounds, structured for a 33-day cycle.
What should a 369 method template include?
One intention line, labelled sections for morning (3), afternoon (6) and night (9), a way to tick each repetition, and a date. Anything else is optional. The practice itself is that simple.
How many pages do I need for a 33-day cycle?
Thirty-three daily sheets if you print one per day — or reuse a layout that covers the whole cycle. If you run 45 days, print more. Cycle length is a convention you choose in advance.
Can I use the template on my phone instead of printing it?
You can photograph it or keep a digital copy, but a phone notes app is usually simpler for on-the-go rounds. Printing removes typing autopilot; a phone removes the "notebook at home" problem. See /guides/speak-write-or-type-369-method.
Do I need a special journal for the 369 method?
No. A free printable, a lined notebook, or a guided app all work. Paid 369 journals are mostly pre-printed grids. See /guides/369-method-journals-and-books if you're deciding whether to buy one.
